About Lucy

Lucy is an illustrator and pattern designer with a passion for uncovering hidden histories through colourful, decorative images, patterns and scenes, often using paper cuts and painting. 

Lucy’s practice involves lots of research, a huge influence of her work is history. She teaches herself about stories from the past, uncovering hidden truths that an everyday person may not know. Through her work Lucy aims to bring pattern, joy and beauty to more homes through illustration. She also aims to make history more accessible; a place for celebrating by shedding light on the past and telling stories about historic events through illustration.
